Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of incredible projects that have allowed me to grow and establish myself within this competitive industry. I hope you’ll enjoy viewing my projects as much as I enjoyed working on them. Go ahead and explore, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more.

Mycobond farm animals

MYCOBOND® is natural product designed to mitigate the negative effects of mycotoxins in animals' feed or food products. Mycotoxins are toxic compounds produced by certain types of moulds or fungi that can contaminate crops, grains, and animal feed; also known an mycotoxicosis.

MYCOBOND® works through electrostatic attraction to aluminium ions when mixed with feeds. It is then adsorbed or bound to the mycotoxins in the digestive system of animals, preventing them from being absorbed into the bloodstream and reducing their harmful effects. The bound mycotoxins are then safely excreted from the body.

MYCOBOND® can be used for all animal species.

What is Mycotoxicosis?

Mycotoxicosis is a disease caused by fungal metabolites which develop in raw material feeds, e.g. wheat, maize, barley, rye, forage, etc. It is very common in the Mediterranean, tropical and sub-tropical countries due to higher temperatures and humidity.

The most common mycotoxins that can affect farm animals include aflatoxins, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEA), ochratoxin A (OTA), fumonisins, and others.

The severity of mycotoxicosis depends on several factors, including the type and concentration of mycotoxin present in the feed, the duration of exposure, the age and species of the animals, and their overall health and nutritional status.

Effects of Mycotoxins on animals

Mycotoxicosis can manifest in various ways, leading to:

• Suppression of immune system
• Reduced consumption of feed
• Reduced growth rate & weight loss
• Reduced egg production
• Reduced milk production
• Reduced fertility
• Increase of diseases

Managing Mycotoxins using MYCOBOND®

It is crucial for farmers and animal producers to be aware of the potential risk of mycotoxin contamination in their feed ingredients and to implement measures to manage mycotoxin-related risks. This includes proper storage and handling of grains and feed, regular monitoring and testing for mycotoxins, and the use of MYCOBOND® toxin binder to mitigate mycotoxin effects.
